New York: Shakespeare in the park!

Awesome thing to do in New York is to go to Shakespeare in the park. Not easy to get tickets (my husband arrived at 7:30AM on a Friday and waited until noon to get ours), but if you can get a day off, some flexibility at work, it is more than worth.

Happening since 1962, Shakespeare in the park is one of the things that happen in New York and make you love to live here. According to Wikipedia " Although much resisted by politicians at first Shakespeare in the Park has gone on to become a New York City institution and a favorite among many who return year after year for their free ticket to the evening's performance". Names like Danny DeVito were in that stage (1975, Hamlet) and according to the Blog The Bowery Boys, this was a sensation that started in East Village basements before it arrive at the Central Park.

The season was playing Shakespeare "The Comedy of Error". I was not familiar with the history and the play not only added as a Friday night event, but also to get to know this work. It is about two identical twin brothers that were separated at birth. One  set was servant to the other and without knowing about the other identical twin set, they arrive at the same city, Ephesus. As it is unknown to city inhabitants and to the twins that there is a double counting going on, confusions are set and a lot of misunderstood happens in the city.

The twins were played by Jesse Tyler Ferguson (from Modern Family) and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (from Old Christine)

Pictures unfortunately are not allowed in there, but before we know that we took some, like the ones at the bottom.
